Kristen "Krissy" Aucoin loves to be in front of an audience. You can find her onstage in the Bryant Players' latest production, hitting a high note with the Bryant Singers, or leading a tour of prospective students around campus.
"I think students need to get involved to expand their horizons and find an outlet to have fun," Krissy says.
While she's having fun and building lifelong friendships, Krissy is also gaining valuable leadership and communication skills that can be applied in the classroom and in her future professional career. "Acting has taught me not to have stage fright. I'm a very confident public speaker," she says. In fact, Krissy's talents helped her team win best overall pitch at Bryant's elevator pitch competition, where students present an idea for a new business - in only 90 seconds.
Krissy is an arts and sciences major at Bryant, but she appreciates the business background she's developed through experiences like the elevator pitch event. "All the skills I'm learning at Bryant, both in and out of my classes, have exceeded my expectations," she says.
