Student Organizations

Bryant University has a wide variety of extracurricular activities for students to develop skills outside of the classroom. Skills like teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving help to prepare Bryant students for life beyond the classroom environment. With a number and variety of organizations to meet almost every interest, Bryant students enjoy a wealth of social opportunities on campus.

Major Organizations

MULTICULTURAL STUDENT UNION
The Multicultural Student Union (MSU) strives to educate the Bryant community about the customs of countries across the globe. Each year, MSU plans events to commemorate Latino/a Heritage Month, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, and Lunar New Year. MSU also organizes the annual Extravaganza Night, a multimedia event and finale to Black History Month that showcases African American History through the arts, fashion, and literature. In an increasing global economy, it is essential for students to learn about and understand different cultures. Everyone is invited to join one of the largest organizations at Bryant to immerse themselves in traditions from around the world.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORGANIZATION
This diverse group is open to all Bryant students in order to promote the social and cultural interaction among members of the University. The club holds both cultural and social activities and functions.

STUDENT ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Student Alumni Association involves students by giving them a chance to become active on campus before they graduate. Their motto is "Students Helping Students - Past, Present, and Future." They sponsor annual events such as Holiday Toy Drive, Ooozball-volleyball in the mud, and co-sponsor Festival of Lights.

STUDENT PROGRAMMING BOARD
The Student Programming Board is an organization that establishes educational, social, and recreational programs for the entire campus. Through programming movie series, comedy shows, four major weekends, and many other activities, the group provides the University with quality entertainment.

STUDENT SENATE
This group is the official representative body of Bryant University students. It consists of an executive council and six representatives from each of the four classes. They present to University authorities all requests, opinions, complaints, and grievances of the student body in order to promote the interest of the students. The Senate has the right to review the actions of any student organization and enforce all Student Senate rules. It is responsible for the allocation of student activity fees among recognized clubs and organizations.

ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATION
This association is one that supplements the educational knowledge of accounting majors. It gives students the opportunity for personal and professional development in the area of accounting through social events, professional presentations, and educational programs.

The Actuarial Association is an organization that augments the academic experience of the actuarial program. It provides an opportunity for personal and professional development.

This club is a chapter of the American Marketing Association which works to provide opportunities for students interested in marketing. It gives students the chance to acquire knowledge and experience through guest speakers and other functions related to marketing.

This organization brings together students who share an interest in the field of Psychology and involves them in both academic and social functions related to the psychology aspects of business.

Delta Epsilon Chi is a national organization for college students preparing for a variety of career areas, with specific emphasis on the areas of marketing, management, merchandising and entrepreneurship. Membership is open to all Bryant University students who are interested in any field of business.

This academic club involves members in the world of finance by providing personal profit activities by group investment in stocks and securities. It serves as a link between the finance faculty and students, as well as being a social activity for students with a common interest.

This organization was founded at Bryant in March of 2000. The purpose of the group is to allow students the opportunity to apply their knowledge of the business world to the outside community.

BIG BROTHERS OF BRYANT
Big Brothers helps facilitate relationships between members of the Bryant University community and fatherless boys in Rhode Island through a one-on-one friendship.

This organization, as a sub-unit of the Big Sisters of Rhode Island, supports the mission of the Big Sisters organization. It plans and hosts two events yearly, including a Halloween party for unmatched little sisters.

Media Organizations

LEDGER YEARBOOK
The Ledger is Bryant’s student-produced yearbook that chronicles life at Bryant for each graduating class. The annual publication offers students hands-on experience in photography, writing, editing, and layout/design. Students also market and sell the Ledger to the graduating senior class.

The purpose of this organization is to provide the Bryant University student body with access and the ability to use the Koffler TV Studio and media equipment. Students embark on media opportunities of their choice and provide them support and supervision.

THE ARCHWAY
The Archway is Bryant's official school newspaper. Its purpose is to make the Bryant community aware of items of local, national, and international interest. This newspaper gives students the opportunity to voice their opinions about campus concerns and events.

WJMF 88.7 FM is a non-commercial radio station that broadcasts daily throughout the academic year. The 225-watt station is completely student-run and operated.

Performing Arts Clubs

BRYANT JAZZ ENSEMBLE
This organization brings together students to involve them in both academic and social functions related to aspects of music composition, instrumental music, and music performance.

BRYANT PLAYERS
The Bryant Players is a drama club that provides the opportunity for recreation and experience in acting, directing, & producing. Members will be able to develop themselves while performing before an audience, thus acquiring skill in poise, style, and production. Bryant students produce, cast, direct, and perform each production. At least three productions are performed annually by this organization, including two full-length plays in the fall and one spring musical.

ALLIANCE FOR WOMEN'S AWARENESS
This student group brings together both women and men to heighten the awareness of women's issues on the Bryant University campus. In addition, AWA is one of the major forces in the production of Women's Herstory Month at Bryant University.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
Amnesty International is a service organization whose work is centered on the rights of prisoners, specifically, the release of prisoners of conscience, fair and prompt trials, and ending of the torture and executions in all cases.

The Art and Culture Club gives students the opportunity for creative expression through the publication of the University's literary magazine, The Surge.

This student organization promotes involvement in outdoor activities. This group acts as the governing body overseeing the governance of recreational sports clubs. Divisions within BOAC are Adventure, Biking, Hiking, Sailing, Scuba Diving, and Ski Club.

PEER EDUCATION
This organization promotes healthy behavior in helping to reduce the number of alcohol-related deaths, injuries, and arrests in college communities by educating that population. Events include health fairs, Bacchus Bash, Mocktail Parties, and various other events.

Student Ambassadors volunteer with the Office of Admission. Ambassadors give campus tours, host students for class visits and overnight programs, and help with many admission events. Ambassadors are able to share their Bryant experience with prospective students interested in attending the University.

Delta Chi was founded nationally in 1890 at Cornell University. It was chartered at Bryant in 1989. Delta Chi benefits Rhode Island Cerebral Palsy.

This fraternity was nationally founded at Yale University. Delta Kappa Epsilon was chartered on campus at Bryant in 1991. Their efforts benefit the Special Olympics Foundation.

Phi Kappa Tau was nationally founded at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio in 1906. It was chartered at Bryant in 1994. Their philanthropy is the Children's Heart Association.
